Week 5 Alternate Assignment

Some businesses I was able to check out and their Facebook usage that is similar to my fictitious jewelry business are:

Luna Lux Gems is using their Facebook very effectively. It looks as they post often and have information updated. Their last post was September 21st, which talked about their new launch coming up and promoting their newsletter. Their profile picture is their logo and their cover photo is some of their jewelry pieces which are styled around the neck and on the hand. It calls to action in my opinion because their pieces of pictures are always eye-pleasing. I do follow their Instagram page which is way more consistent but I do think they use Facebook effectively and have no comment on ways for them to make it even more effective. Luna Lux Gems gives me the idea of creating a whole hashtag for my brand and making sure it's included in my daily posts.

Maldorys is also using their Facebook effectively. They are using it to promote their business and new products. Their jewelry and photos are vibrant that reflect what type of jewelry they are marketing. They use their Facebook maybe monthly. I can tell it is not used as frequently so I assume they are using other platforms to promote themselves than Facebook. If they wanted to make their Facebook page more effective, consistency is something they can change and marketing their products in a more calling to action way. Maybe their jewelry is not my taste but their pictures can be kind of bland. After reviewing their use, I think making the pictures eye-pleasing and fun and being consistent can make my Facebook page successful.

Amarilo Jewelry is used to promote their waterproof, sweatproof jewelry. They use their Facebook page effectively because they are consistent. Their last post was posted yesterday at 2:16 pm. They have a very trendy esthetic and it is very eye-pleasing. Their page is very straight to the point. Their esthetic represents the jewelry and the owner very well. Their cover photo is just their brand name/logo and their profile photo is the owner wearing the jewelry piece. So it is like flip-floped. After reviewing their page it makes me rethink some of my concepts. I like a very different trendy look so I am thinking of maybe changing it and making it more simple and easier on the eye.

Luxvie Jewelry uses their Facebook to promote their product and services as they are able to customize some pieces for their customers. They have a frequently asked question box that allows customers to be able to ask their questions fastly and effectively. They have a response for these questions pre-setup. Their cover photo is a very requested piece that they have up, so it is a called-to-action method. Their profile photo is their brand with a gold rim. I think it looks clean and simple. They have their 'about' information set up well and their shop's link available. I think I can use my Facebook Page more effectively by setting up automatic question answers just in case someone needs an answer quickly.
