Week 10 Part A: Researching Email Marketing

Newsletters can be great but also annoying. These can fill up your email within a week. Is it effective? I say yes they are. They often help you remember the new product launch from your favorite company or advertise local events you might not want to miss out on. I have subscribed to a handful of newsletters because I am definitely an online shopper. I also am a DIY queen so when supplies are on sale , I like to know. I have thought of creating one for my business and offering a 10% off when first subscribed and then sending out the newsletter whenever I have a new drop of product or reminders as well. I don't want to be something you put in your garbage before looking at it. So getting the readers attention is critical to getting them to even open the newsletter. That's what I will try to focus my time on. Some ideas I have is adding a free item to every purchase over 90$ because who doesn't love free stuff! Sending out a newsletter about brand new items that my business is going to be putting out. Maybe even sending a newsletter that help you style your jewelry or how to clean it properly. While researching others newsletters, I have seen them have sales for the holidays already coming in and for black Friday happening earlier. They have sent a holiday greeting and how you can incorporate their shop into your OOTD's and potential gifts for this season.

  1. I think you are right that people like newsletters more when they have to do with a holiday sale. I hope that you can create something effective that people actually want to read!

  3. I love the layout and the content looks great. I love the use of email marketing, but it can be very consuming because I am absorbed by deigning content and aesthetics, so it often becomes a time -issue. Use constant contact and its great to measure analytics too.
