When marketing a business finding how you fit into your customers wants or needs is essential. It all depends on how you fit into their personal lives. Many businesses can market themselves using a personal touch and even using funny tones on their pages. We have seen this over and over again. There has been a trend of using meme marketing to help draw people onto your pages. The most recent one that I have seen is the red flag one. We have seen these over and over again filling our feeds, but the other day I happened to stop and look at one since it was advertising a business page. It said "buying your makeup and skin care products at full price 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩" and when looked at it closer it what calling you to a page that focuses on sharing sales that are constantly happening in retail stores or individual online stores. The page owner actually makes a commission off of each sale, that has been through her link. Using a trending meme or trend is a great way to get new viewers to your page since its already in the public eye. Sharing your goals and reason as to why you started your business is a great way to attract others who have similar goals to come and support your page. Another example of a more serious tone but yet personal tone page I have been seen is one that my old coworker started. She has been traveling around the world visiting places that are full of poverty and opening pantries that are used to distribute living essentials and food items to the locals. She has been able to share on her platforms all the work they are doing but it is also used to raise funds and donations. There was a post she had posted that really got me was, "spending 8$ everyday on a cup of coffee, or use it to help feed a family for a week." This particular quote really got me since I was able to connect on a personal level. I come from a very poor family and remember how much we struggled going up. Luckily I am privileged now where I can afford a coffee every morning if id like, but this got me donating 8$ everyday instead. Knowing it can go to someone who needs it more than I do, is what got me supporting her message and journey to others.

For my business, it will often be based on feeling. Many people have said you cant base a business on feeling but I know that, that is wrong. The whole beauty industry is based on making women and individuals feel like they are not enough. Like if a 20$ mascara is somehow going to make everything better and fix all your self image problems that that particular brand has participated into this ugly message. With my cosmetics and jewelry brand we want to add to your already great self. Changing the message of a need instead making sure you know how privileged we feel to be chosen by you.

Many businesses that are a very strict and serious tone business often dont personalize their advertising but honestly lately I have seen many businesses change it up and start doing it. Especially during the pandemic. They did this by adding delivery services or adding resource links onto their pages to help anyone effected.
